King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre
Saudi Arabia's flagship tertiary hospital, whose Oncology Centre runs the Gulf's largest transplant, CAR-T and proton therapy programmes.
King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre opened in Riyadh in 1975 and, with campuses in Jeddah and Madinah, is the leading referral hospital of Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf. Its Oncology Centre and King Fahad National Centre for Children's Cancer deliver high-volume adult and paediatric cancer care, including one of the largest haematopoietic stem cell transplant programmes in the region, locally manufactured CAR-T therapy, robotic surgery, radioligand therapy and the first proton therapy facility in the Middle East, opened in Riyadh. The Research Centre hosts genomics under the Saudi Human Genome Program, cancer biology and clinical trials units, and the hospital houses the Saudi Cancer Registry's largest contributing service and pioneering work on thyroid, breast and hereditary cancers common in the Kingdom.
