Shandong Cancer Hospital and Institute
One of China's largest radiotherapy centres and among its most active sites for lung and oesophageal cancer radiation trials, with a proton facility.
Shandong Cancer Hospital and Institute, founded in 1958 and affiliated to Shandong First Medical University and the Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences, is best known for radiation oncology under Jinming Yu, with one of the largest radiotherapy departments in China, a proton therapy centre and heavy investment in PET-guided and adaptive radiotherapy. It has led Chinese trials combining radiotherapy with immunotherapy in lung and oesophageal cancer and studies of brain metastasis management. The hospital also runs strong thoracic surgery, breast and gynaecological programmes and a provincial cancer registry.
