Valencia's university hospital and research institute, base of former ESMO president Andrés Cervantes and a leading gastrointestinal and breast oncology group.
INCLIVA is the health research institute of the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia and the University of Valencia. Its medical oncology department under Andrés Cervantes, ESMO president in 2023-2024, is a European reference for colorectal and gastric cancer trials and for circulating tumour DNA studies in localised colorectal cancer, and Ana Lluch's breast cancer group helped found the GEICAM and SOLTI cooperative groups. Research lines include tumour microenvironment, precision oncology and cancer genomics, and the hospital runs a phase 1 unit and hereditary cancer clinic. It cooperates with La Fe across the Valencian cancer network.
