Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer

aka SITC, International Society for Biological Therapy of Cancer, iSBTc

The society of cancer immunologists and immuno-oncologists, whose annual meeting, guidelines and immune-related adverse event management resources track the immunotherapy era.

Founded in 1984 as the Society for Biological Therapy and renamed in 2010, SITC grew with checkpoint inhibitors into the main professional home of cancer immunotherapy. Its annual meeting each November presents cellular therapy, checkpoint, vaccine and bispecific data and translational immunology; it publishes the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, issues Cancer Immunotherapy Guidelines by disease and on immune-related toxicities, and runs the Immuno-Oncology Biomarkers task forces, the Sparkathon early-career programme and the SITC Cancer Immunotherapy Winter School. SITC also produces the primer on CAR-T toxicity management and works with FDA on regulatory science for immunotherapy combinations.
