Fondation ARC pour la recherche sur le cancer

aka ARC, Fondation ARC

France's largest charitable foundation devoted entirely to cancer research, funding laboratory and clinical projects across the country.

Founded in 1962 and recognised as a public-utility foundation, Fondation ARC funds cancer research in France through competitive calls: young investigator fellowships, programme grants, translational and clinical research and international collaborations such as the SIGN'IT and PAIR programmes with the Institut National du Cancer. It is based in Villejuif beside Gustave Roussy and publishes patient information on prevention and treatment. ARC has supported early work in tumour immunology, precision oncology and paediatric cancer across French centres including Gustave Roussy, Institut Curie and the UNICANCER network.
