Ligue nationale contre le cancer
France's oldest and largest cancer charity, with a committee in every département, funding research and supporting patients and prevention since 1918.
Founded in 1918, the Ligue is a federation of 103 departmental committees and one of the largest private funders of cancer research in France, including the Cartes d'Identité des Tumeurs tumour-genomics programme, team labelling grants and support for clinical research. It provides patient support (helplines, financial aid, Espaces Ligue), campaigns on tobacco, alcohol and screening, and advocates on drug prices and access. The Ligue co-funds programmes with the Institut National du Cancer and Fondation ARC.
