Rigshospitalet – Copenhagen University Hospital
Denmark's national referral hospital, a leading Nordic centre for haematology, phase 1 trials and, with Herlev, tumour-infiltrating lymphocyte therapy.
Rigshospitalet is the highly specialised national hospital of Denmark and the largest partner in the Danish Comprehensive Cancer Center. Its haematology department under Kirsten Grønbæk and colleagues leads Danish and Nordic leukaemia and lymphoma trials and CAR-T delivery, the phase 1 unit under Ulrik Lassen runs the Copenhagen Prospective Personalized Oncology programme, and radiation oncology has a long record in lymphoma and breast radiotherapy trials. Copenhagen University Hospital's Herlev site hosts the National Center for Cancer Immune Therapy (CCIT-DK, Inge Marie Svane), which co-led the phase 3 trial of TIL therapy in melanoma with the Netherlands Cancer Institute. Denmark's population registries and biobanks make the hospital a hub for real-world and epidemiological cancer research.
