CSCO guidelines (China)
CSCO guidelines are China's national oncology guidelines, notable for grading recommendations by both evidence and affordability, and for covering Chinese-developed drugs (PD-1 inhibitors, ADCs) and cancers common in China (nasopharyngeal, oesophageal, liver, gastric) earlier than Western guidelines.
CSCO guidelines (since 2016 in current form) use a two-dimensional system: evidence level (1A-3) and recommendation grade (I basic, II optional, III) that considers drug accessibility, cost and reimbursement in China's National Reimbursement Drug List. They cover Chinese approvals (toripalimab, camrelizumab, sintilimab, tislelizumab, disitamab vedotin, furmonertinib, savolitinib) years before Western uptake and are published in English for several tumours (e.g. joint CSCO/ASCO NPC guideline 2021).
