ASCO clinical practice guidelines

ASCO guidelines are the American oncology society's guidelines, strongest on supportive care, survivorship, biomarker testing and resource-stratified recommendations for lower-income settings, complementing NCCN's algorithms.

ASCO guidelines (published in JCO, JCO Oncology Practice, JCO Global Oncology) follow GRADE-style methodology with systematic reviews and explicit evidence quality and strength ratings. Distinctive areas: antiemetics, growth factors, VTE, fertility preservation, palliative care integration, pain in survivors, geriatric assessment, financial toxicity, and resource-stratified guidelines (e.g. cervical, breast) developed with global partners; joint biomarker guidelines with CAP (HER2, ER, MMR/MSI); endorsements of other societies' guidelines. Also produces the ASCO Value Framework.
