University Hospital Zurich / Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich

aka USZ, CCCZ, UniversitätsSpital Zürich

Zurich's university hospital and cancer centre, a world reference in neuro-oncology, melanoma and single-cell tumour imaging.

The Comprehensive Cancer Center Zurich brings together the University Hospital Zurich, the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich. Michael Weller's neurology department chairs the EORTC Brain Tumor Group and shapes glioma guidelines, and Zurich was a leading site in the glioblastoma trials that introduced temozolomide and tumour-treating fields. Reinhard Dummer's dermatology clinic is one of Europe's foremost melanoma centres and led oncolytic virus and targeted therapy studies, Bernd Bodenmiller's laboratory developed imaging mass cytometry for spatial single-cell tumour analysis, and the haematology and nuclear medicine departments run CAR-T and theranostics programmes. The centre is OECI-accredited and hosts a large early-phase unit.
