Society of Gynecologic Oncology
The US society of gynaecologic oncologists, whose Annual Meeting on Women's Cancer is where the PARP inhibitor and immunotherapy trials in ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancer are presented.
Founded in 1969, SGO represents more than 2,000 gynaecologic oncologists, surgeons who also deliver systemic therapy, and allied professionals. Its Annual Meeting on Women's Cancer each March hosts the major trials in ovarian, endometrial, cervical and vulvar cancer (PAOLA-1, RUBY, NRG-GY018, KEYNOTE-A18 and MIRASOL were presented at SGO or the concurrent plenaries), and it publishes Gynecologic Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology Reports. SGO issues clinical practice statements on genetic testing, HPV vaccination, minimally invasive surgery after LACC, and molecular classification of endometrial cancer, and it runs the Foundation for Women's Cancer, advocacy on screening and the Winter Meeting for translational science.
