Ifosfamide
Ifosfamide is an alkylating chemotherapy partnered with doxorubicin in sarcoma and with etoposide in Ewing sarcoma, given with a bladder-protecting drug.
Approved 1988 (testicular cancer); standard in AIM (sarcoma), MAP-IE (osteosarcoma), VDC/IE (Ewing, INT-0091). Requires mesna uroprotection; encephalopathy and nephrotoxicity are characteristic.
