National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS)

The National Brain Tumor Society is the largest US brain tumour nonprofit, notable for helping create GBM AGILE, the adaptive platform trial that tests many glioblastoma drugs at once, and for its advocacy on FDA endpoints for brain tumours.

Formed 2008 (merger of the Brain Tumor Society and the National Brain Tumor Foundation). NBTS funds research collaboratives, co-founded the Global Coalition for Adaptive Research (GBM AGILE, which has enrolled >1,500 patients across regorafenib, paxalisib, VAL-083 and other arms, reporting the first results 2023-24), convenes the Brain Tumor Investment Fund, and leads advocacy (e.g. Head to the Hill, DIPG/DMG legislation). Patient resources include a personalised support and navigation programme.
