iStopMM
iStopMM screened an entire nation for the precursor of myeloma, to learn whether finding it early saves lives or just causes worry.
~75,000 participants; ~3,700 MGUS identified; randomised to no follow-up, standard follow-up, or intensive follow-up. Early results (2023-25) show higher detection of smouldering myeloma and treatable lymphoproliferative disease in the intensive arm; mortality outcomes pending.
