A marker of stem cells in the gut and of stem-like cells in tumours, used to aim drugs at the cells that regrow a cancer.
Leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein-coupled receptor 5, a Wnt target gene marking intestinal and tumour stem cells. Petosemtamab exploits LGR5 binding to degrade EGFR selectively in tumour cells; LGR5 ADCs have been explored.
