International Prognostic Index (IPI)
A five-point score (age, stage, performance status, LDH, extranodal sites) that predicts how risky a lymphoma is before treatment.
IPI 0-1 low, 2 low-intermediate, 3 high-intermediate, 4-5 high. Defines trial eligibility (POLARIX and frontMIND enrolled IPI 2-5 / 3-5) and expected R-CHOP outcomes (5-year OS ~90% for IPI 0-1 vs ~50% for IPI 4-5 in the rituximab era).
