Founded in 1940 as the NCI's journal and now published by Oxford University Press with an independent editorial board. Publishes epidemiology and risk-factor studies, screening and surveillance research, trial-methods and trial-participation analyses (Unger's 2019 review of barriers to trial enrolment in this corpus), and the annual US 'Report to the Nation' on cancer status.
