Celldex Therapeutics
Biotech that ran one of the early GPNMB ADCs in triple-negative breast cancer, which failed, and has since pivoted to mast-cell (KIT) antibodies for allergic disease.
Glembatumumab vedotin (CDX-011, GPNMB-directed MMAE ADC) did not meet its primary endpoint in the METRIC trial in GPNMB-overexpressing metastatic TNBC (2018). Celldex's lead asset is now barzolvolimab, an anti-KIT antibody in phase 3 for chronic urticaria; its oncology footprint is historical but instructive for ADC target selection.
